How to care for jewelry
ANNA SAMKOW jewellery is handcrafted from precious materials using traditional goldsmithing techniques. All jewellery components are hand-finished and processed, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind. We focus on every finishing detail. We want our products to be of the best possible quality and to bring you joy for a long time, so please familiarise yourself with our care and use guidelines:
Jewellery is a delicate product and requires proper handling. Storing jewellery in its original packaging protects it from light and moisture, which it does not like. It is susceptible to all kinds of mechanical damage and accidental events. It is important to handle it carefully.
Jewellery should be removed before sleep and bathing, before doing housework, during sports, and in situations where it may be exposed to mechanical damage.
Care should be taken to avoid contact with chemicals. In contact with chemicals (cosmetics, perfumes, cleaning agents, bleaches), it may change its colour and become more susceptible to mechanical damage.
When you are not wearing your jewellery, store it in its dedicated box or casket, with limited air access. This will slow down the natural patination process, which is particularly characteristic of silver.
Gold-plated jewellery has been covered with a layer of 24-carat gold. Graphite-coloured jewellery has undergone an oxidation process. The gold plating and oxidation effect will wear off over time. This is a natural process for this type of jewellery.
In our Warsaw workshop, you can have your jewellery re-plated. The price of the service depends on the product. Please send inquiries to kontakt@annasamkow.com.
